Which BACnet controllers can I use? Any controller, either hardware or software, that includes a BACnet CLIENT. The MIM312 gateway has a BACnet SERVER interface and must be connected to a client.
Can I use a MIM312 with FIN Stack? Yes. FIN Stack includes a fully certified BACnet client connector. Either custom hardware like an industrial computer with FIN Stack installed, or an Edge controller can be used. ControlsPlus Solutions offers a discount if a MIM312 gateway is ordered at the same time as a Siemens F200 FIN Stack Edge controller.
How is the MIM312 gateway configured? The hardware has a built-in web server for configuration - standard web browser interface.
Can I purchase the hardware to test before licensing the driver? Yes, this is the recommended approach. Buy the hardware, make sure that it meets your requirements, and then when you are ready buy the license (unlock code) for the number of points you need. The unlock code is delivered by email.
How do I purchase a license for the driver? The license (unlock code) for the driver is available in four options: 500 points limit, 1000 points limit, 2000 points limit, 4000 points limit. The unlock is linked to the serial number of the hardware gateway. Please use the enquiry form to get price information. Does ControlsPlus Solutions offer a trial license? Yes, it is built in. Even without a license (unlock code) the driver in the MIM312 runs for two hours every time the hardware is re-started. You can re-start as many times as you want to test, set-up and commission the gateway. When you purchase an unlock code it removes the two hour limit but leaves all the initialization and set-up unchanged.
